Transfer Student Social

Transferring to a new university can be a daunting transition, but you’re not alone. If you’re a transfer student, please join us for the semi-annual transfer student social. There will be board games to play and free cookies for all transfer students!

National Transfer Student Week (October 20-24) is a time to recognize and celebrate NIU’s transfer students and all their contributions to our community.

Check out the commuter student lounge at Peters Campus Life Building, one of NIU’s best kept secrets for when you need a cup of coffee, access to a fridge and microwave, or just a cozy, quiet space to study.

You’ll also have an opportunity to chat with caring staff members who can help you find tutoring, counseling, or a mentor. If you need guidance or support along your NIU journey, we’ve got your back.
